Born from a village celebration — not a festival concept. Fields of Sound grew out of a real silver wedding and birthday party on a rice field: food by families, monks at dawn, music until night, everyone welcome.
Born from a village celebration — not a festival concept. Fields of Sound grew out of a real silver wedding and birthday party on a rice field: food by families, monks at dawn, music until night, everyone welcome.

Fields of Sound is Thailand's first hyper-local music festival where every baht spent returns to the Nang Rong community. We combine Sanuk (fun) with Bun (merit-making), featuring top Thai indie bands, traditional Molam music, and sacred Buddhist ceremonies.

All local services—cooking, security, organizing—are paid fairly. Profits flow directly back to the Nang Rong community.

Direct land lease to local farmers. Minimal environmental impact. Leave the rice fields better than we found them.

Authentic Molam performances, traditional Isan cuisine, and optional Buddhist merit-making ceremonies.

Every aspect of this festival is designed to benefit the local Nang Rong community

All food stalls are operated by Nang Rong families. Traditional Isan dishes: Som Tam, Larb, Grilled chicken, Sticky rice. 100% of profits stay in the community.

Security, event staff, cleaning crews, and coordinators are all hired from the local area. Fair wages paid directly to residents, creating sustainable income.

We honor the land that hosts us. Minimal environmental impact, waste management by locals, and proceeds supporting temple and school projects.
Nestled in the heart of Thailand's Isan region, Nang Rong offers the perfect setting for our festival. Just outside Buriram city, surrounded by rice fields and traditional villages, this location embodies the authentic rural Thai experience we celebrate.
